This marathon will benefit Architecture for Humanity, a wonderful organization that provides buildings and construction support in the places that need it most, especially those that have been hit with natural disasters recently. Currently they have a large focus on rebuilding Japan and Haiti thanks to the earthquakes they had this year and last, among many other projects both big and small, local and worldwide. They also organize the Open Architecture Network, an open community for architects, designers, and builders to share their ideas and plans.
