A few times each year, some of the marathon teams involved with (or at least fans of) this site collaborate to put together a single event. In addition to everyone running their marathon independently but using the same games and charity, there’s a competitive aspect to it — we create some Xbox 360-style achievements beforehand, and whoever can score the most out of them when time’s up is the winner, who in turn can nominate the games to be played next time.
This time around, though, we’ve decided to make it into an open event! A few teams have already signed up, but we’re looking to get more! The series chosen this time around is Legend of Zelda, so if you’re a fan of this series and think you can run a marathon competition on it, you should email us about it!
If you’d like to participate as another team in this event, let us know via email (gamemarathons@gmail.com) or in the comments section of this message — but we do have a few conditions, and they are:
* Your team must be available during the weekend of September 10-13.
* Your team must have access to most of the Legend of Zelda game library. Due to the event structure it’s not necessary to have absolutely every game on the list, but it does help.
* Your team must have either finished a game marathon before, or show us a stream beforehand, just to show you’re technically capable of doing this.
* Your team must be able to communicate with the other teams involved before and during the marathon, in order to help run the event smoothly.

Hey there, I'm Tom and I'm an admin here at GM. I run a marathon team called Ocean City Trinity. I'm apparently also the go-to guy for marathon advice, so if you have questions, just ask!
